Once of Washington, DC’s fastest growing and stable healthcare information management consulting firms seeks a Director of Office Project Management for a full-time position at a Federal healthcare agency located in DC.

The Director of Project Management is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the implementation of project delivery methodologies and seamless delivery across all firm revenue generating projects to ensure that such projects are delivered on-time, within the established project level of effort and budget, while achieving a high level of Client satisfaction and ensuring company objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities are to Develop, design, and implement a standardized Project Management Methodology and Quality Assurance Plan. Lead project governance to ensure that project budget, schedule, and scope are maintained within the approved project baselines. Collaborate with Engagement, Project, and Resource Managers across the firm to synchronize work plans and assign cross-departmental resources, minimizing conflicts across concurrent projects. Oversee team of Engagement Managers through all assigned project activities and phases. Provide assistance, direction and/or mentorship to ensure stated project activities and objectives are successfully accomplished. Provide corporate leadership for cross-functional, corporate-wide strategic projects and initiatives. Define, develop, and manage the program roadmap including budgets and project plans for all assigned projects. Construct and institutionalize Project Management Best Practices.

Requirements and Compensation

To be considered and successful you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of healthcare administration, business administration, public policy, engineering, technology, or management. 5 PLUS years of related work experience leading a project management office or depending upon the size of the organization, managing discreet Project management office components, preferably with a government contractor. 5 PLUS years of experience leading complex projects requiring multiple project managers. You must be PMP Certified, demonstrated experience in Microsoft Project and with the creation or growth of a PMO. Initially you will be required to manage projects and implement the Project Management Methodology and Quality Assurance Plan developed. Experience in developing levels of effort, pricing and writing for new proposals. Experience in federal contracting strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of business case development including cost/benefit analysis, Total Cost of Ownership, Total Value of Ownership and Earned Value Management.
