This amazing small cause oriented nonprofit association located near the Archives Metro in DC seeks their first Director of Development & Membership that will be responsible for recruiting and providing high quality services to organizational, affiliate, and individual members to ensure the organization as the capital resources needed to reach its goals.

Essential job functions include:

- Coordinating efforts to reach membership goals (affiliate, organization, and individual).

- Developing a multi-faceted rund raising plan.

- Conducting needs assessments and satisfaction surveys with members & stakeholders.

- Maintaining regular written and verbal communication with members and donors

- Building the reserve fund and designing a plan to create and endownment fund.

- Developing budget and creating materials for development, membership and communications.

- Overseeing communications efforts as they relate to fundraising and membership.

- Serving as a liason to the Membership and Development Board Committees.

Requirements

Please have a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree is preferred. You must demonstrate your ability to develop and implement a fund development plan. Please have 1-5 years experience in a membership-based organization. You must demonstrate your ability to identify customer needs and to respond in a timely and competent manner. You must be able to successfully manage a variety of tasks with minimal supervision and have a strong proficiency in Microsfot Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. This position will include up to 10% domestic travel.

Compensation
