This fast growing and totally fun Healthcare Information Management consulting firm located in DC next to Metro seeks a college graduate with a degree in Finance or business with a concentration in finance to be the next Financial Analyst at this great company. You will report directly to the Finance and Compliance Manager.
You will work with a very bright and motivating Financial and Compliance Manager to ensure that monthly financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP including and particularly individual contract revenue recognition issues. Develop monthly financial and operating reporting package for senior management. Must be familiar with consolidation accounting and consolidating/eliminating entries. Develop and analyze key operating ratios relating to utilization, revenue per billable employee, billable hours, and average rate per billable employee. Must be familiar with developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets and associated actual variances from Plan. Must be familiar with job and contract costing, contract burn schedules, contract profitability, customer profitability, and maintaining current pricing models. Must be familiar with government contracting and GSA contract vehicles. Must understand the value of strong and adequate internal controls. Support Manager with administrative duties as well.
You must have Two (2) to four (4) years of progressively more challenging experience in financial analysis & reporting, or large business unit experience with a Federal Contrractor, Veterans Administration or other Government Agency. You must be familiar with entire Microsoft suite of products including Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel. Prior experience with Quickbooks will be helpful, but not a necessity. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, AX, or Deltek would be a plus as a new accounting system will likely be installed over the next eighteen (18) to twenty-four (24) months. At the present time, and due to limitations of Quickbooks, the Company uses Excel in large measure to support financial statement preparation & analysis, job costing, contract and customer profitability, and contract pricing.
The firm offers a 40 hour work week, a fun open work environment with opportunities for growth, $45,000 - $50,000, Bonus, Metro Check and an outstanding benefits package. Very close to the U Street metro and the selected candidate will be required to undergo a background investigation, including credit.
