Law Firm Administrator – free parking!

Boutique law firm is seeking an experienced firm administrator that will report to the managing partner.

This position is responsible for all operational and practice support services to the organization. The successful candidate provides leadership and the coordination of all firm resources, policies and strategies under the direction of the Managing Partner and the Partnership. The position includes direct responsibilities for payroll, 401K administration, human resources and benefits, information technology, knowledge management, marketing and business development, vendor relationships, facilities, and the coordination of operation contracts, and oversight of financial assessment and accounting. Collaborates with the Managing Partner and jointly implements the development and execution of the firm’s strategies. Monitors and maintains company policies and ensures administrative practices support the company’s vision and priorities. These responsibilities include infrastructure development, analysis of current processes, and the implementation of necessary procedural and/or policy changes.

Engages with Accounting Manager when needed and facilitates the organization’s banking relationships. Encapsulates and communicates financial results.

Ensures the effective application of technology to support the delivery of services to the firm and clients. Manages data security, develops business continuity plans, and coordinates health and other benefit plans and all human resource functions for the company.

Leads the effort to ensure an ongoing system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures while maintaining highly confidential information. Collaboratively leads other managers and staff to negotiate vendor contracts, records management, office operations and lease administration, develops space planning strategies, and directs the proper allocation of real estate in all offices, while ensuring the maintenance of an efficient business environment.

Communicates effectively and fosters relationships with all levels of the company, as well as its affiliates and partners. Possesses superior written, verbal, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams. Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous process improvement that values learning together with a commitment to quality and client service. Ensures all staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development. Establishes and monitors staff performance and development goals, assigns priorities and objectives, conducts performance appraisals, and administers compensation adjustments as appropriate.

College degree in Business or a related field with substantive and progressively increasing responsibilities with a professional services organization including leadership of a wide array of business operations. Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to mentor direct reports using a supportive and collaborative approach while setting meaningful goals. Substantive hands-on experience with Microsoft Office. Must possess the ability to translate theory into practical solutions for the benefit of the organization. Strong MS Office experience and banking relationships. Accounting experience is a strong plus. Those with law firm experience highly desired.
