
This fast growing woman owned information management consulting firm located near metro in Washington, DC, seeks a Health Data Analyst to support data quality initiatives for a Federal health agency. The selected candidate will work with a Data Quality team to analyze data from multiple systems and databases, evaluate the quality of the data, make recommendations for improvement, and help implement those recommendations in order to support care delivery, decision-making, and business operations.
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree preferred. Certification (CPHIMS) or education in health information management and informatics a plus.
- Five or more years of experience in health data analysis, and experience working with clinical data. Knowledge of the Veterans Administration and DoD data a plus.
- Knowledge of health care terminology and standards, quality indicators, and familiarity with privacy and security requirements for health data.
- Thorough understanding of database structures and processes. Knowledge of SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle. Knowledge of M a plus.
- Expertise in analytical, data profiling, and business intelligence tools.
- Expertise in presenting the data analysis and data mining activities of data quality.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, MS Project, and MS Office suite.
- Demonstrates problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present information in a professional and diplomatic manner.
- Ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
