One of the world’s finest firms has a rare opportunity for a Director of Administration within their New York office.

In line with the Firm’s practice and functional strategies, responsible for the effective and efficient operations of the New York office, ensuring delivery of exemplary client service.  Develops strategic plans for future practice and operational needs of the office; anticipates and provides support structures and systems to meet attorney and client expectations.  Responsible for all non-attorney HR matters, including staff recruiting, supervision and retention; and coordinates with partners and management on attorney HR matters.  Acts as a strong collaborative leader in both office and Firm matters, and as a responsible advocate for office concerns and needs.  Ensures consistency of office administrative operations with broader US practices and firm wide standards. Provides collaborative leadership and direction to the office’s partners and employees, coordinating closely with the Office Managing Partner.

Please have a Bachelor’s degree plus at least seven years of experience as an OA/Director in a legal or professional services environment, or equivalent experience.  Solid experience in managing a business to the expectations of shareholders, management, and employees.  A focus on operational excellence, client service, and cost management.  Strong operational and financial skills, and knowledge of information technology practices.
