Legal Attorney Recruiting Coordinator

One of the world’s largest and most respected law firms seeks an Legal Attorney Recruiting Coordinator to facilitate Fall Recruiting, the Summer Associate program, and Staff Recruiting for the Northern Virginia office.

This position also provides benefits and administrative support to the Human Resources Department and is responsible for a wide variety of tasks including processing personnel forms, compiling statistics, and maintaining employee files.

Primary responsibilities include coordinating Fall Recruiting and the Summer Associate program by registering for on-campus interviewing, sending materials to selected Law Schools, scheduling call-back interviews for candidates, coordinating Partner/Summer Associate lunches and Summer Speaker Series lunches, planning and attending Summer Associate events, and overseeing the Summer Project database for the Northern Virginia office.

The successful candidate will also lead the recruiting process for staff and attorneys by contacting candidates to set up interviews, pre-screening and interviewing candidates as needed, drafting correspondence to applicants including offer and decline letters, and providing weekly recruiting updates. Additional responsibilities include participating in monthly benefit calls; assisting with well-being initiatives for the Northern Virginia office; serving as the local point of contact for benefit inquiries; preparing paperwork for background checks, conflicts checks, personnel forms, and reference checks; performing general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, reading/sorting/processing mail, filing, preparing invoices/expense reports for payment, and creating spreadsheets; organizing and delivering orientation schedules for new hires; and advising attorneys and secretaries on Bar Dues matters.

The candidate must have 3+ years of legal recruiting experience. An undergraduate degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to maintain confidentiality, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, strong organizational skills, and be able to multitask and prioritize while under pressure.
