Manager – Business Administration

Great CEO and management staff

This wonderful large organization that serves the manufacturing industry seeks a manager of business administration who will execute budget preparation, oversight of contracts, and Board of Directors coordination. You will ensure the timely and complete delivery of all work products across the organization including that of external consultants and independent contractors. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other elements on task tracking and similar firm-wide processes.

You will report to the CEO in the Arlington, VA offices and there will be up to 15% required domestic travel.

You will

*Develop and manage the firm’s and associated budgets to include projections, invoice processing and required record keeping

* Manage staff work schedules and ensure back-up for issue coverage at all times

* Oversees vendor competitive solicitations, proposal evaluations and performance assessments against defined statements of work

* Undertake special projects as assigned by the CEO

Board of Directors Coordination

* Plan, organize and memorialize the Board meetings and other Board-level activities, such as ad-hoc projects and social event logistics, ensuring timely and complete follow-up

* Assist CEO in planning, managing, and executing all Board priorities

Please have:

* An undergraduate degree or higher preferred and 5-10 years of progressive experience

* Strong, documented results-oriented work experience in the corporate or not-for-profit (a plus)

* Demonstrated leadership and management skills with proven practice balancing multiple projects simultaneously within tight timelines

* Experience in budgeting, competitive sourcing, and related records keeping

* Proficient in developing and applying measures of effectiveness in outcome-focused work processes

* Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively in matrixed organization

* Highly motivated and results-oriented

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills

* Positive attitude and team player who demonstrates professional presence in all settings

* Skilled with Microsoft Office suite
