This amazing national law firm dedicated to the practice of intellectual property law is seeking an experienced IP litigation paralegal. You will work closely with litigation teams on intellectual property litigation matters, assisting with all aspects of case preparation and file management from commencement through settlement or trial.

As an IP litigation paralegal, you will be a key member and must be able to independently perform a variety of duties such as preparing legal documents, correspondence, discovery, summarizing depositions, and communicating with clients.

Please be familiar with all aspects of litigation procedures and have at least 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal. (IP preferred but not required) Please have knowledge and ability to manage large, complex, and/or document intensive litigation matters. Prepare and review case files, discovery and trial documents in all phases of case management. Review and outline depositions; indexing, summarizing, and coding documents. Coordination with third party vendors when needed. Deposition coordination and scheduling. Heavy Blue-booking and cite checking. Establish, organize, and maintain attorney trial notebooks, witness notebooks, document indexes, privilege logs, and exhibit lists. Maintain document databases. Maintain court and deposition calendars. Experience with all phases of e-discovery. Experience with PACER and filing practices and procedures in U.S. District Courts, Courts of Appeal, and International Trade Commission including all e-filing and hand-filing practices and procedures. Prepare trial and deposition exhibits. Trial preparation and trial experience including attendance and assistance at trial when needed. Strong computer skills and able to learn new programs quickly and easily (necessary training will be provided).

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree, a Paralegal certificate preferred and 3-8years of paralegal litigation experience working on complex litigation matters including trial experience (IP experience is highly preferred)
Must have strong knowledge in Summation (or other document database software), Court Reporting/Transcription Software, Westlaw, and Dialog. Well-versed in MS Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint.

The Firm offers $65,000 – $80,000, 9-5:30 hours (a 37.5-hour work week) paid overtime when necessary, business casual attire and a friendly open office environment
