Senior Manager of Recruiting
Government Contractor
Arlington, VA

This stable and fast growing National defense contractor located in the heart of Arlington, VA right at the Ballston Metro seeks a Senior Manager of Recruiting that will report to the Director of Human Resources, and utilizing such recruiting staff as may be assigned, is responsible for successfully leading and coordinating recruiting functions with hiring managers, including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and selecting employees.

In this position you will work with senior management to determine the hiring needs of the Company including disciplines, compensation ranges, qualifications, certifications, time frames, and potential sources.

Develop proposed execution strategies to achieve the employment needs, and reviews them with senior management for approval. Such strategies would include the appropriate use of internal and external resources, such as employment agencies, executive search firms, independent contractors, recruiting web sites, professional journals, job fairs, etc. Coordinate the development of “collateral” materials with outside vendors to project a positive image and to help “brand” the Company and to encourage those seeking employment to join the organization. Develop appropriate employment/recruiting policies and procedures to ensure that roles and responsibilities are well defined and that the recruiting process is efficient, effective (results are achieved), and legally compliant. Coordinate the implementation of effective automation tools to facilitate the capture of applicant data and appropriate demographics, and the useful availability of the data to hiring managers. Develop metrics that measure the effectiveness of the recruiting process including cost to hire, time to fill positions, sources to fill positions, applicant to hire ratios, etc., and collects and maintains the results of those metrics over regular and meaningful periods of time, and makes them available to senior management. Source, interview, test, and develop salary and benefit comparables, and recommends applicants to hiring managers and coordinates the hiring-approval and offer-letter process. Requirements

The position requires and undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Liberal Arts, Business, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5-8 years directly related experience in employment or recuiritng in a government contracting envrionment. Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and Executive Order pertaining to govermentment contractors.

Compensation

Salary up to $135,000 depending on experience and current salary.
