The 4 active system engineer openings are below

Full Performance Level Systems Engineer must have 2-5 years of direct experience up to $75k

Senior Level Systems Engineer must have 4-8 years of direct experience up to $90k

Expert Level Systems Engineer must have 7-15 years direct experience from $105k to $130k

SME Level Systems Engineer must have over 15 years direct experience is up to $140k

As a full-time W-2 employee, you must apply the knowledge of IT strategy and operations against mission needs to design improved processes, generate valid requirements and ensure consistent application of technical architecture.  You will provide hands-on technical direction for personnel, design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns, and perform systems management and integration functions.  You must have the ability to design, test, field systems and or processes necessary for the optimization of ongoing mission activities and priorities within the subject of expertise.  You must have the ability to identify tends and forecast possible shifts in technology relevant to the subject of expertise.  You must have the ability to translate requirements into end-to-end designs for systems within the subject of expertise.  Outstanding customer service skills, teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team are a must.  You must have the ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences through outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.  You must demonstrate the ability to work independently in an agile environment and adjust to changing priorities



You must have a degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline.  Analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts/theories for various projects.  Technology Design and Adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.  Ability to logically and systematically convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.  Ability to analyze and study complex system requirements, for example: Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.  Apply the concept of operations set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design and construction of information systems across a major sector of the organization.  Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.   Experience with activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods and performance measurement techniques.


A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly desired.


Primary work location will be in Reston, Herndon, or Chantilly at a customer facility. Other locations may include locations throughout the Greater Washington, DC region, on an as-needed basis.

8:30 – 5 with some flexibility M-F, however, as work requirements dictate, such as for overtime, major business events, prime season for business pursuits and ad hoc mission requirements, the work schedule may deviate.
