Kubernetes Engineer (DevOps) with a TS SCI

Location: Lorton, VA, or THE FIRM WILL PAY FOR RELOCATION TO THE DC AREA.

M-F, 5 days in the office, regular business hours

You must possess an active TS clearance SCI or with SCI eligibility required.

3+ years of leadership experience in relevant area of business OR equivalent experience and 8+ years of demonstrated performance in related technology.

This International employee-focused State-of-the-Art Government Contractor provides migration, networking, computing, and security for hybrid cloud environments with cutting-edge contracts nationwide. The firm seeks a Cleared Kubernetes Engineer (DevOps) to join our dynamic team in Lorton, Virginia. You will be responsible for leading the management and optimization of our Istio service mesh and the applications that run inside of it. As part of our infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our microservices-based applications’ reliability, security, and performance, including Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, and Bitbucket.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Ability to develop solutions to complex IS compliance and security problems.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Helm, and Istio.
• Experience managing microservices-based applications.
• Microsoft Information Request SAF/AQ Project Order Confidential and Proprietary
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot issues that arise in a production environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility required

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in relevant areas of business.
• Technical certifications in Azure
• Application development experience on Azure
