Legal Recruiting Coordinator 

Join this medium sized well-run law firm and provide your HR and recruiting expertise.

SALARY RANGE: $95,000 – $125,000

As the firm’s Recruiting Coordinator, you will assist the Recruiting & Human Resources Manager with all aspects of lateral attorney, fall associate, summer associate, and support staff recruiting.

This hybrid (3 days in-office and 2 remote) position is based in the Washington, DC office.  This is an exempt position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with Recruiting & HR Manager to plan and coordinate all aspects of 1L, 2L, 3L, lateral attorney, and support staff recruiting.
  • Manage summer associate, lateral attorney, and support staff job postings.
  • Assist with law school and summer associate recruiting, including planning on-campus events and coordinating interviews.
  • Help manage the summer associate program, including onboarding, training, event logistics, and communication.
  • Maintain the recruiting database, including candidate data entry, interview scheduling, and tracking of lateral attorneys, summer associates, and support staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of NALP surveys and Flo Recruit listings.
  • Help prepare and distribute materials for Recruiting Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate onboarding process of lateral attorneys, fall associates, summer associates, and support staff; and
  • Perform additional projects as assigned by the Recruiting & Human Resources Manager and Members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of law firm recruiting experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with people at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); and
  • Experience with HRIS databases (e.g., ADP, viRecruit, Flo Recruit, Symplicity, etc.).

HOURS: Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including one hour for lunch.  You must be flexible to work additional hours and travel occasionally.
