Assistant Manager Elite Financial/Billing Systems
This amazing international 1100 lawyer firm seeks an assistant manager for their DC office who will report directly to the Assistant Director, Elite Financial Systems; the Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for assisting with the monitoring daily maintenance activities of the firm’s Elite financial management system and related software, while providing user support for cases related to Elite. The position will also include developing bill and proforma templates, ad hoc reporting and creating SQL based reports, which the Elite Enterprise user population will use.
You will manage the day to day user requests regarding Elite and Elite related financial system projects, including Design Gallery, Whitehill, Extend, ARCS, Carpe Diem, Billback and ChromeRiver. Administer month-end billing close, including proforma and month-end report processing. Employ and adhere to proper internal system controls relative to application security and system programming. Serve as the internal resource for Design Gallery and Whitehill template development, configuration, and maintenance issues. Create basis stored programs to improve the efficacy and effectiveness of the Elite system. Create ad-hoc reports to allow billing specialists to answer questions posed to them based on client billing arrangement or requests from Billing Attorney. Support the long-term vision of implementing automated solutions resulting in increased productivity, improved efficiencies and cost savings. Assist in all phases of the project life-cycle; including requirement gathering, planning, testing, implementing, and training. Assist with project management related to all future Elite and Elite related financial system projects, including Design Gallery, Whitehill, Extend, ARCS, Carpe Diem, Billback and ChromeRiver.
You must possess comprehensive experiencing using Elite accounting system or other system similar in complexity
You must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Windows applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of financial analysis/accounting experience with at least two (2) years in a law firm or similar billing or contracting environment. Demonstrated expertise in the setup, maintenance, and analysis of complex alternative billing/contracting arrangements. You must process comprehensive experience using Elite Enterprise or other similar robust account/practice management Enterprise Resource Planning tool.
