Attorney Recruiting Manager – DC and McLean Offices

One of the world’s finest firms has a rare opportunity for a seasoned Attorney Recruitment Manager who will handle the DC and NOVA offices.

You will be joining at an exciting time of growth and be part of a dynamic Attorney Recruiting team!

You will manage the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia law school, lateral associate, lateral partner, and patent agent recruiting programs. You will supervise one specialist and also manage and take ownership of the summer associate programs in both offices. You will provide support on firmwide projects and initiatives to create efficiencies and best practices across all of their offices.

You will collaborate with Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia hiring partners and recruiting committees to develop, implement and manage recruiting strategies and programs to best represent the firm to law school and lateral candidates; Support the Director of Attorney Recruiting and East Coast Regional Attorney Recruiting Manager on firmwide strategic projects and initiatives related to process, data analysis, branding, and technology; Drive efforts to increase and improve firm visibility at targeted law schools and, when needed, develop and foster law school and search firm relationships; Manage the interview process, communications, and data tracking systems; Work with Washington, D.C. practice group leadership to determine short term and long term attorney hiring needs; Manage the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia summer associate programs, including social events, trainings, surveys, and evaluations; Facilitate the successful integration of all new associates and other attorneys; Analyze recruiting trends and implement recruiting strategies to best directly source law school and lateral talent both locally and firmwide; Establish, adhere to and maintain the recruiting department budget for the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia offices.

Please have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of five (5) years of Recruiting experience required, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity preferred; Prior legal recruiting experience is preferred, including the demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of high-volume legal recruiting programs, including lateral attorney sourcing and hiring; law student on-campus recruiting; and the summer associate program and event planning; Outstanding interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment demonstrating reliability, dependability and flexibility is essential. Exceptional organizational, process, and follow-through skills. Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently to meet critical deadlines. Expertise in relevant technology; Taleo, Workday, or other applicant tracking system experience is preferred.

Ability to travel. This job requires occasional travel to other national offices and law school campuses, particularly in the summer and fall.
