One of DC’s premier top 100 law firms located near Foggy Bottom Metro has a rare opportunity for a Legal Word Processor – Secretary with 2-20 years of legal secretarial or legal word processing experience to join the busiest group in the firm and work with the best manager in town. This group runs 24 hours a day on 3 shifts and will work for every office in the firm including overseas offices so all areas of law will be considered

Available shift is 9:00 – 5:30 pm

Up to $82,000 and the ability to change shifts if another one opens up in the future

This firm changed the face of typical secretarial jobs in DC by creating departments that serve specific practice groups and assist all attorneys with heavy document work, scheduling, travel arrangement and a lot of other substantive work. The firm needs experience with Word 2016, Excel 2016 and PowerPoint 2016 with knowledge of table of contents, table of authorities, redlining and Styles and the firm will certify you in all.

You will compose general correspondence, reports, memoranda, spreadsheets, expense reports, and complex documents that may require advanced work processing skills; Maintain attorney(s) appointment calendar, meetings, business trips, sensitive client matters, and prepare mailings; Arrange all travel reservations and prepare all travel expense reports; Transcribe legal documents, correspondence and reports from rough draft, dictation, or transcription; Open new files, requests conflict of interest checks with appropriate department, and maintain all client and general files; Keep files current and filing up-to-date for each client/matter; Conduct periodic review for possible storage of older files; prepare files to be closed.

Please have 2-20 years of BIG Law Firm experience from one of the top 200 biggest firms in DC, 65 wpm typing, a can-do attitude, flexibility for overtime and a desire to be the best.  Testing on Word and Excel 2016
