Federal Contracts Manager

 

Working as the in-house Contracts Manager receiving contracts from the Government, not on site administering contracts for the Government.

 

Up to $110,000 – $140,000 with an incredible CTO and VP of Operations

 

This rapidly growing information technology government contractor that is poised to explode with business in the next two years seeks a Federal Contracts Manager to work at their beautiful headquarters in Arlington, VA located near Metro. You will report directly to the wonderful Vice President of Operations and will be a part of the Operations team. In addition, you will be responsible for initiating, tracking and monitoring contract changes, deliverables, correspondence and risks, and maintaining associated documentation.

 

You will serve as the main point of contact for all company agreements and will make up the entire Contracts Department with assistance from the operations team; they need someone very flexible and not above making copies if necessary, for a project in contracts. You will coordinate with the proposal team, project/program managers, executives and accounting throughout contract lifecycle to resolve contract, subcontract, procurement and invoicing issues; Review RFPs/RFIs for required contract and subcontract information; Develops and integrates contract management tools, templates, methods and processes for the engagement; Responsible for informing the project team of the requirements of the contract and monitoring compliance; Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met; Identifies risks and issues, suggests alternatives that lead to the best solution; Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, etc.; Manage NDA’s, Teaming Agreements, Subcontract Agreements and other contractual documents; Review and respond to proposed changes to agreements, negotiating as necessary (escalating certain issues to Director of Operations); Review received contracts and modifications for completeness, accuracy and conformity; Set up new contracts in Deltek GCS and provide billing instructions to accounting team; Maintain all contract folders and price schedules; Track subcontractor certificates of insurance, funding levels, end dates, etc.; Maintain working knowledge of government contracting industry and laws;

 

You must have 4+ years of experience in federal government contracts administration or degree in Government Contracts Administration; Working knowledge of the FAR/DFAR; Familiarity with FFP, T&M and CPFF contract types; Previous experience in Government Contract Administration; Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills; Interest in learning more and growing this role as the company grows; Demonstrate a strong understanding of general contractual principles, theories, and business practices, and be able to solve problems with limited guidance.

 

In a perfect world having familiarity with GSA Schedules, Deltek GCS, and being a Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certification and experience with SalesForce and SharePoint would be a HUGE PLUS!
