This growing information technology government contractor that is growing rapidly with business seeks a PKI UNIX Systems Administrator to work at their DoD client location in Mechanicsburg, PA. This is truly one of the Best Places to work.

You will provide system administration support in a production environment. As such the work schedule may occasionally require unexpected flexibility (e.g. stay later than scheduled or show up earlier than scheduled)

Clearance: Secret or Above

You will perform Linux/Unix administration, including recognizing and troublehooting problems, executing detailed Change Request (CR) instructions, complying with change control, scripting and shell programming, and performing operations and maintenance tasks in a production DoD environment.

Coordinate, guide, and support engineering staff in troubleshooting PKI-related systems and applications.

Maintain the health and proper functioning of Linux-based computer systems in a DoD production environment by applying, updating, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Linux administration tasks.

BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering.  The firm will substitute 8 years’ experience in this job function for BS/BA degree.

5+ years’ experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5,6, & 7

You must have an IAT Level II certification

Experience maintaining production systems by reading and the following documentation.

Understanding of network communications and Public Key Infrastructure

Experience using RedHat Enterprise Linux 5/6/7

Familiar with DoD network security practices and STIG

Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure Certificate System and Directory Services
